Over the course of four years, the GripSport portfolio has evolved into a seriously competitive range of products with a strong brand proposition, boldly represented in the form language and robust performance of the locally built bike rack range.
Product focused:
• Proposing/Creating 2D and 3D assets for website, webshop, brochures, Dealer visual merchandising, exhibition displays and posters.
• Writing and generating high detail technical product guides and visual assembly instructions.
• Mature product refresh and adaptations to suit evolving market needs.
• New product development from brief, in to prototypes and proof of concept, through to series production and batch increase of full production.
• New Product Introduction NPI process followed.
• Advanced SolidWorks CAD modelling in both quick concept form and full production library of assets.
• Lead Designer for the Versa Vertical Bike Rack, launched 2023 models: Standard, Folding, Electrified - all off a new common platform. Australian Good Design Award winner Sep 2023.
• Electric version of the Versa vertical bike rack system, aiming to include those who can't tilt, load or lift bikes into the rack. The primary target user group is our adaptive riders, followed by grey nomads and injured riders with a family or shuttle to run about.
• Design for sister company in marine products (ATTAQ Bimini), launched late 2024. Configurable boat shade, to suit personal preference of look and fit to customer's boat. Rigid structure, folds down for storage in domestic garage.
Business support / Beyond product:
• Leading planning meetings and discussions to decide on product developments for business future.
• Bringing departments together to develop feasible solutions.
• Project planning and team meetings for achieving outcomes in a small company with restricted resources.
• Championing continuous improvement CIP methodologies and total quality management TQM concepts.
• Intellectual Property overview and lead contact.
• R&D Tax incentive reporting.
• Design strategy, modularity and diversification from common designed parts. Market expansion with little/no additional inventory.
• Creating processes to support business scaling/growth, beyond people and ad-hoc efforts.
